Acrylic sheet:
PMMA is the abbreviation for polymethylmethacrylate, also known as "acrylic glass"
Principal properties of PMMA:
Appearance
Ability to transmit and reflect light
Transparency
Exceptionally long life, coupled with ease of use and processing
Good mechanical properties
High acoustic and electrical insulation
Resistance to high temperatures
Recyclable
Various manufacturers produce cast and extruded acrylic sheet, together with blocks, rods, tubes and other products (used in applications such as shop decor and fittings, Point of Sale material, advertising signs, buildings, architectural fittings, sanitary ware, etc ...).
Pleasing Looks :-
With its perfect surface, pleasing touch and transparency, Acrylic can be integrated naturally into the environment. Clear as crystal, Acrylic transmits and reflects light better than the finest glass. When body-tinted, Acrylic diffuses light and enables tinted lighting systems to be created.
Acrylic is a low-density, rigid material that is suited to complex assemblies.
Go hand in hand with quality.
Acrylic sheets are resistant to heat, ultraviolet and many chemical agents. Over the years, they retain their beauty and strength. Despite its natural hardness, Acrylic sheet may become scratched: it can then be made as good as new, simply by polishing. Acrylic has many insulating properties:acoustic, electrical and thermal (10 times that of glass).
Together, all these properties open up many fields of application. Being very easy to machine, glue and decorate, Acrylic sheets make possible a wide variety of designs and industrial, craft, or artistic creations.

> Cleaning products
Acrylic is beautiful, transparent and durable… but like any other high-quality material, it is worth looking after it properly. Take care of it!
Acrylic likes:
Cold or warm water, with a little household detergent added,
A damp chamois leather, to finish off the cleaning (just wipe, don't rub),
Products specially designed to care for it and keep it looking like new:
Special Acrylic Cleaner, Johnson's Pledge (or any similar product),
Special Acrylic Polish, Buhler's Bul'Inox (or Miror Cuivre), to polish the surface and remove all scratches (finish by applying an Acrylic Cleaner).
Acrylic hates:
Being cleaned dry, which can scratch it,
Fluffy or rough cloths,
Trichlorethylene, benzol or a range of solvents, which may change its appearance by stress crazing the surface.
Glues
Glueing Acrylic sheet gives excellent results. Given the right conditions of use, the results achieved with specific Acrylic adhesives are always pleasing in appearance. The mechanical properties achieved depend on the glue used.
