Arlon®
Arlon® is a tough, high-temperature, semi-crystalline, thermoplastic presenting a unique combination of mechanical, thermal, chemical and electrical properties.Several proprietary manufacturing and machining processes are used to ensure that Arlon's properties consistently outperform the competition.
Several different Arlon materials are manufactured. All provide high tensile strength and elongation properties, excellent shear strength and creep resistance, outstanding fatigue resistance, broad chemical and radiation resistance, and no susceptibility to hydrolysis (steam/hot water).

ARLON® 1555 (Lubricated & Carbon-Filled PEEKTM)
Introduction - ARLON 1555 - Colour Black is a lubricated and carbon-filled PEEKTM. Compounding of these ingredients have resulted in a high HDT, improved tensile and flexural properties at elevated temperatures, and a reduced coefficient of thermal expansion.Tribological properties have also improved, as demonstrated by the reduced coefficient of friction and improved wear properties.ARLON 1555 is most often used in non-lubricated or marginally-lubricated bearing applications or wear surfaces
.Availability - ARLON 1555 is available in basic shapes, custom molding and fabricated components.
Note: Properties are anisotropic and are measured in the axial flow direction
of molded test specimens.
